To create an online store in Egypt you need five things: a platform (most growing brands choose Shopify), an Egyptian payment gateway such as Paymob or Kashier alongside cash on delivery, a courier, a domain, and a product page built to sell. Shopify Basic starts at $29 a month billed yearly ($39 monthly); the rest is theme, apps and design. SADUQ builds the whole store and connects payment, shipping and ads.
Yes. Shopify works in Egypt and many Egyptian brands sell on it in EGP. The one thing not available is Shopify Payments (Shopify's own gateway), so online payments run through an Egyptian gateway.
Paymob and Kashier both have official Shopify apps for cards and mobile wallets. Most Egyptian orders are still cash on delivery, which is switched on in store settings with no app needed.
First: too many steps between the ad and the order. A COD buyer does not need a cart and a three-page checkout — a store where we removed the cart entirely cut lost orders by 21.7%.
Second: a product page that displays the product but does not answer the buyer's questions: will it solve my problem, is it worth the price, what if it does not work out?
Third: launching ads before tracking is set up — spending without knowing which ad brought the order.
Yes. You can open a Shopify store in Egypt and sell in EGP. Shopify Payments is not available in Egypt, so online payments run through an Egyptian gateway such as Paymob or Kashier (both have official Shopify apps), and cash on delivery is enabled in settings.
There is a fixed platform cost: Shopify Basic at $29/month billed yearly or $39 monthly. On top of that come the theme (free or a one-time fee), apps, the gateway's percentage on online payments, and design and build, priced by scope.
You can start on a Shopify trial or a free platform, but a store you will spend ad money on needs the right foundation. A free store that converts poorly makes every order from ads more expensive.
Paymob and Kashier are the best known and both integrate officially with Shopify. Choose on their fee and the payment methods your customers use (cards, wallets, instalments) — and keep cash on delivery, since it is still most orders in Egypt.
Yes — full Arabic RTL, or Arabic and English together, in the market's currency, and multi-currency stores if you also sell in the Gulf.
If you want. You can take the store alone, or the store and the ads together — stronger, because the people building the page see the ad numbers.
