A store with the cart removed entirely

The problem

A COD store was losing orders between cart and checkout — and an Egyptian COD buyer does not need half those steps to begin with.

What we did

  • Removed the cart completely
  • Journey became: landing page → direct order form
  • Form built mobile-first with the fewest fields possible
A store with the cart removed entirely

The result

EGP 3.64M and 4,220 orders in one month at EGP 862 AOV. CVR 3.14% (+5.7%) and lost orders down 21.7% — on fewer visits and more orders.

The lesson

This works when you sell one product or bundle on COD. With a large catalogue the cart is essential — leave it.

Figures are as published in the original case. The brand name is withheld because the account is under NDA.
